It was a beautiful day when I decided to dive deeper in to Al-Sham's menu. The chicken shawarma is not even their best menu item, have you even thought to try the kefta?? I ordered the kefta entree that comes with delicious fragrant saffron rice, hummus, salad - the works. Easily one of the most delicious plates of food available in Bay Ridge. The lamb kefta sandwich? To die for!! Beautifully grilled kefta kabab in fresh vegetables and sauce, lightly toasted w a crisp exterior. The juiciest, most delicious sandwich you can get your hands on for less than $15. Fries are just perfect- crispy outside, falling apart inside and so soft w light seasoning outside. Service is courteous and kind, the chefs tying kuffiye on young men outside. A true family run restaurant central To the community. I love getting food here and I hope you will too!

One of my favorite places to eat in Bay Ridge. My favorite is their Al-Sham Mixed Grill (#26) to make it to order so it can take about 25-30min. If you want to a little bit of everything that's the entree to order. It also comes with salad and rice or French fries. I recommend getting their rice. It's delicious. You don't eat as much like me it can feed two people. Or sometimes I even have left overs to eat for the next day.

Here's a review from a Syrian guy, that was born in AlSham(Damascus that is): I live in the south, so Middle Eastern food is rare to find, and specifically Shawarma! And most times when you find shawarma in the US it never tastes the same, like it's doesn't come to a 5% of how close to it. NOW this place, OMFG, The staff is beyond kind and wonderful and sweet, and they ll speak Arabic to you if you do (which was my 1st hug to my soul) 2nd there shawarma, without a doubt the best one in the US, like i legit almost cried while eating that. The hummus was phenomenal, also haven't had such a good hummus since back home (Sabra brand can fuck off) And the Kebbeh, bro i saw باب توما و بال شرقي و باب الجابيه with every bite. Ambiance wise, was great, honestly don't remember much, was too consumed with the food. Strongly considering moving to NY so i can eat there every single fucking day. شكراًًًًً

I get their chicken shawaram platter. It's comes with Frieda, cut up chicken shawarama and some pickles. They do take a while in preparing so call ahead 15 a head of time. They do not accept cards. Only cash. It's my fave shawarm spot so far when I passed through bayridge The garlic is a bit too much for me but they do put it on the side for you.
